Kybella, or Deoxycholic acid, is a fat dissolver.  It is injected into areas where there is unwanted fat, most commonly the submental (under the chin) area, but we also love it for the jawline and buccal areas on the right patient.  Kybella breaks down the fat cell membranes, destroying them, reducing the number of fat cells in the targeted area by up to 25% per treatment.  Depending on the size of the area and treatment goal, multiple treatments are generally recommended. You can also treat fatty pockets on the body if Coolsculpting is not an option for you.  And we highly recommend combining it with a skin tightening treatment and topical skin tightening cream!  Kybella will make you swell so make sure that you plan for downtime accordingly.
